Kunoichi Speed Paint by angryangryasian Kunoichi Speed Paint by angryangryasian
bleh- this was a speed paint practice. I ended up making it too busy and over did it. Im trying to rely more on creating a composition with less on the canvas but conveying more in the finished product....i guess im still practicing. im not too pleased with the way it came out since i ended up using the same techniques as i usually do.... but no point in wasting finished artwork..

I have a few more speedpaintings laying around BUT they took longer than the speed paint "time"...so i scrapped them..

here is one of the survivors of my speedpaint massacre....

time: 1hr.
illustrated in paintoolSAI and finished in PS7

very good artwork... since I'm kinda new I have a question in Ur overall artworks (which by the way ARE FANTASTIC) Do you always begin by computer or do you start by a paper drawing base?

i was asking because i find it kinda hard do develope a full character, or an illustration, with the use of a mouse...

OH NO! yeah i use a tablet pc and sometimes a wacom tablet. definitely (when its possible) give up using a mouse to do any digital art (unless you're dabbling in 3D modeling and animation).

i used to make gif animations with mouse and mspaint back when i was in highschool

I'm glad you didn't throw this one away. Even if you didn't do it in "speed paint time", nonetheless, a work of art is a work of art. :meditate:

awwwww thanx ruru! lighting is a great thing to look out for! but unfortunately, im starting to use it a little TOO much as a means of hiding details (or lack thereof). *tries to hold back...

YESH! GANBATTE!!! XD

well... i overdid the smoky things... overall the piece was very unfocused so it was all over the place *in other words, didn't come out the way i pictured it in my head.

hello no!!! it's perfect that way.
it being unfocused adds more to the effect and the sense that you're actually there watching her through the smoke and flames and watching her distorted, blurry figure through the waves of heat rising from the inferno.

at least that's what it looks like to me.
to me that bright orange bg looks like flames and chaos. like something exploded.
do you get what mean?

it's perfect that way.

the only bit of amateur advice i would give you is to be careful when you draw her thighs during speed painting. LOL
